Sustainable and profitable forestry
We carry out responsible, sustainable, and certified forest management in Finland’s northern forests. This ensures economically viable timber production, while keeping forests diverse and efficient carbon sinks.
WE RESPECT NORTHERN TRADITIONS, BUT LOOK TO THE FAR FUTURE
We own nearly 40,000 hectares of well-growing Finnish forests in the regions of Lapland, North Ostrobothnia and Kainuu. We use these forests to produce high-quality wood raw materials through responsible, predictable, and sustainably profitable forestry.
Good forestry yields are achieved through systematic regeneration, timely and effective management and felling, and through the use of the right tree species for each location.
Davvi Metsä is a member of Metsä Group’s FSC® forest certification group (FSC-C111942), and all our forests are FSC® and PEFC certified. Our certified commercial forests, our nature reserves and our clean water bodies have significant natural values and play a role in mitigating climate change.
